Birds are an integral part of Bengal's flora and fauna. The greenery of Bengal gets its music from the cooing of its birds. Bengal's literary masterpieces are in many ways indebted to these creatures. Many of these birds are Bengal's own but some are migratory or Bengal's visitors. Not forgetting Bengal's culture to imbibe the visitors in the family members here are references of a few birds.

They are social being and any harm to the fellow members creates a sensation. They collectively cry for a few days in the location. But these birds proved to be less intelligent than the cuckoo.
