As the puja draws near, people gets busy with the last minute preparations, rushing to the shopping marts, shops, etc., the streets are filled with huge crowds and all restaurants and food plazas are filled with people. Every where there is people buying or selling something. During Durga Puja, Bengalis shops for new garments and other stuffs and also gifts their loved ones. Its a time when everyone spends without caring about their incomes just to see the happiness in each other’s face. Its is the only time of year when the whole Bengal seems to be drawn into the flood of joy.
