Just before the Durga Puja it has become customary as well as part of the celebrations to publish puja magazines or "Puja Barshiki". Children, the young and the old are all fond of these magazines. Big publishing houses bring out special editions with numerous exciting stories.Puja Barshiki 2007 has interesting articles, novels and short stories from well-known authors.

Saradiya Puja Barshiki 2007 features Patrika, another well known Puja magazine is published a month ahead of the occasion. This magazine highlights articles written on cinema, travels, fashion, music,religion, politics,literature and food. Movie buffs will enjoy reading about Saif Ali Khan and Uttam Kumar, alternative religion by Ramdev makes interesting reading and Payal Sengupta writes
