Imambara
The famous Imambara at Hooghly was documented by Hazi Mohammad Mohsin in 1836. The Imambara building having a stonework revetment is located on the bank of river Ganges at Chinsurah. Serampore
Formerly recognized as Fedricnagar, Serampur was the place of missionary movement from 1793 to 1834. It holds a significant position in Bengal’s history. Chinsurah

Watch Tower

Radhanagar

Radhanagar is also renowned as it is the native land of Raja Rammohun Roy (1772-1833) who was a neighbor and a good family friend of Mathura Mohan Sarbadhikari.

 
 

Pandua
Pandua is a census town in Hooghly region of West Bengal. It is a police station in Chinsurah subdivision. Its distance is 61 km from Howrah and 21 km from Bandel on the Howrah-Bardhaman main line of Eastern Railway.
The position is famous for its Minar of 125 feet and the Bari Mosque.

 
 

Debanandapur
Debanandapur 5 km away from Bandel is well-known as it is the birth-place of the renowned Bengali author, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. There is a museum-cum-library where documents and additional things used by him are reserved.

Sabuj Dwip

One can avail Bandel local from Howrah and get down at Bandel. From there take the Katwa local train to go to Somrajbazar station. Take a boat from here to Sabuj Dwip. You can take the No. 8 route bus from Chinsura and get down at Korla to walk another 15 minutes and arrive at the river.

 
 

Fairs & Festivals
Mahesh, 3 km from Serampur, has an extremely old Jagannath Temple, where the annual car festival is held in June / July each year.
