Palashi
Palashi is a place of huge historical importance. The legendary Battle of Plassey was fought here on 23rd June, 1757.   Ballal Dhipi
Ballal Dhipi is situated near Bamanpukur Bazar. The excavation work was started here by the Archaeological Survey of India in the early 1980s; it exposed an exclusive structural multifaceted covering nearly 13,000 Sq. meters. Centering on a heap (Dhipi) having an elevation of 9 metres. This compound recognizes itself with the Vikramsila Vihar.
 
 

Kalyani
Kalyani is another significant township of this district. It was identified by Dr. B. C. Roy to act as a substitute to the city of Kolkata.

 
 

Shivaniwas
Shivaniwas is situated inside Krishnaganj Block in the Sadar Sub-Division and is about 26 K.M. away from Krishnanagar. The Raj Rajeswar Temple, named after Lord Shiva. The Shivalinga preserve in this holy place is said to be the biggest in Asia.

 
 

Ragniswar temple
The Ragniswar temple and the Ram-Sita temple built in 1762 form a composite construction next to Raj Rajeswari Temple, in the vicinity recognized as Buro-Shib Mandir. The structural design of this temple bears Gothic influence.

 
 

Pannadan Deer Park
Bangaon is the boundary city between India and Bangladesh. It is 77 km away from Calcutta. The name of this park has been altered to Bibhutibhusan Wildlife Sanctuary in the name of Bibhutibhusan Banerjee, the writer of "Pather Panchali". The locale of the deer park is approximately 64 acres surrounded by a wooded area. There are roughly 300 dotted deer. At the feeding time the majority of the deer assemble here to take food and this is truly memorable scene forever. The stream Ichhamati runs closely. The tinkling resonance of the river with the tweeting of birds will definitely makes one nostalgic.

 
  Bethuadahari
Here is the deer park, which is generally occupied by deer. The locale of the park is 165 acre with intense jungle of sal, teak, arjun, babla, mehagani etc. In addition 550 deer, here presents wild cats, hares, sambar etc. There is a little zoo, also in the park. At the feeding time the majority of the deer assemble here to take food and this is truly memorable scene forever. The park becomes more gorgeous in the full-moon night.
